Hello!

I’m Julie, a Body Control Pilates qualified instructor, with further training in women’s health and 15 years experience teaching movement.

I discovered Pilates years ago as a student and loved how good I felt during and after classes. I later decided to train as a teacher and taught Pilates for a short time before relocating and then having my child. After the birth I struggled with postural and muscle issues and reconnecting with Pilates really helped, although I am still very much a work in progress!

Whilst on maternity leave, alongside the usual baby classes I was keen to find a group where I could focus on myself whilst knowing baby was welcome too. I found there were limited options in my local area, so I decided to teach accessible, community based Pilates classes where mums could have a moment of ‘me’ time whilst moving their bodies and meeting other women.

Before training in Pilates I taught movement and dance as a Community Dance Artist for over 10 years, working with children, people with Parkinson’s and those living with dementia.

I am passionate about helping people feel better by re-connecting with and moving their body. I work with care and empathy and aim to have a little bit of fun too! I would love to meet you at a class or 1-1 session soon.
